Specialization in MDS : Prosthodontics

The Prosthodontic graduate training programme imparts knowledge pertaining to restoration and maintenance of oral function, health, comfort and appearance by the replacement of missing and lost natural teeth. Students are trained on complete dentures, cast partial dentures, crown and bridge work, implant supported prosthesis through didactic and clinical learning. They undergo extensive training using state of the art modern equipment and material of International standards to enhance their preclinical skills. They also get trained in casting and ceramic work in the ceramo metal laboratory.

Prosthodontics, also known as dental prosthetics or prosthetic dentistry, is the area of dentistry that focuses on dental prostheses. It is one of nine dental specialties recognized by the American Dental Association (ADA), Royal College of Dentists of Canada, and Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons.
